Who is The Run Doctor?

I’m Ed Kerry, a professional running coach. I help people run better, further and quicker; teaching them how to enjoy successful running again.

After a career in the Royal Air Force, I became a coach and started The Run Doctor. I’ve helped adults and children of all ages, from beginners to marathon runners, to improve their strength, flexibility, technique and stamina.

I’m passionate about running. I’ve completed a number of ultramarathons including the six-day, Marathon des Sables, the toughest footrace on earth; 156 miles in searing heat across the Moroccan desert. At my first attempt I was 21st and second British person to finish. I’ve run numerous marathons and my best time is currently 2 hours 39 minutes.

No matter your age or ability, my services can help you beat your injuries, change your bad habits, reach your goals and give you the confidence and motivation to enjoy running for life.

Ed Kerry - The Run Doctor

"If it wasn’t for Ed I’d have stopped running ages ago due to injuries. Ed broke down my technique and built me up again from scratch."

Michael Krajewski

"I’ve got the confidence, self-belief, strength and ability to run my first marathon – all thanks to Ed. Not bad for someone who only started running 18 months ago."

Alice Venning

"Ed is incredibly knowledgeable, organised and focused – he’s a really nice guy. He genuinely cares about my progress."

Kristin Bruess

"Ed is a great communicator. He gives you a clear, logical plan and can explain the bigger, long-term picture too. Ed is the only reason I'm a more efficient runner."

Ian Whittaker
